JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Under the direct to indirect supervision, maintains and repairs dialysis equipment and water treatment system; assures that dialysis equipment is properly cleaned and sterilized per protocol after each dialysis session; cleans and sterilizes water treatment system monthly; performs daily quality control procedures (e.g., machine and water testing), maintains CQI records; monitors water treatment system; trouble shoots dialysis equipment and water treatment system.
  • May assist in educating less experienced staff on proper way to use and trouble shoot dialysis machines and water treatment system.
  • Communicates HD/CRRT equipment issues/concerns to HDE 2. Cooperates with staff and other departments in maintaining HD standard of care; maintains confidentiality.
  • Assures the dialysis equipment and water treatment system operates according to manufacture's specifications/recommendations, in compliance with AAMI and with department policies and procedures.
  • Delivers equipment and supplies to patient room, assists with dialysis machine setup, and patient transport.
  • Performs supply inventory to include ordering and restocking of all equipment related items.
  • Communicates supply needs to HDE II.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma required, preferred.
  • BS preferred.
  • One year of experience in the area of concentration.
  • HD Equipment Biomed certification preferred.
  • HD water treatment system certification preferred.

Job Qualifications

Title, Salary: min- max/hour, The grade and salary of the position are based on specific criteria met within the qualifications of relevant experience, skills, performance and internal equity.  This position is eligible for shift differentials.

$16.25-$30.02
